There are times that the shepherd
Must be as the wolf

Of tooth and claw
Of animal cunning

Beware the shepherd
That is the wolf

For he is not the wolf out of hunger
Or for simple mindless destruction

Instead the shepherd becomes the predator
Out of the need to uphold The Shepherd's Covenant

To defend, with tooth and claw
The Shepherd's Care

Scripts

eSeries

The eSeries is a set of party AI scripts for BG2 SOA & TOB. They began as Sarkyn's gSeries, which were one of the premier sets of party AI scrpts for SOA. The eSeries leaves of were the gSeries ended by updating them to include the spell and item options that became available with TOB. Note: This pack does require some support files to function properly. Please see the eSeries Read Me for additional details concerning the required files.

gMinion

gMinion was created by Greg Hodgson (aka Sarkyn). I've have updated the gMinion series here and there to account for the additional summons available in the expansion pack TOB, but the majority of original content is intact and as potent as ever.

These scripts are designed to enhance and increase the enjoyment of the Baldurs Gate II series of games produced by Bioware. They increase the ingame intelligence of the creatures that are summoned by Spells and Items, so that they behave more in line with the original intentions of both Bioware and more Purist D&D Roleplayers.

Sequencer Memory

seqmem.bs is a little script I wrote to enable a player to remember what they have stored in their minor spell sequencers, spell sequencers, and spell triggers, after a couple of days away from the game. This script can be appended to another customizable script, increasing functionality. See seqmem-readmme.txt (included in the downloadable .zip) for complete details on how the script operates.

tSeries

The tSeries is a set of .bcs scripts adapted from Gebhard Blucher's Planescape: Torment Player AI Scripts. They cover The Nameless One and all of the joinable PCs. The scripting language is limited in comparison to the options avialable in Baldur's Gate II: SOA/TOB, but the scripts will attack enemies, cast memorized offenisve, defensive, and healing spells, and also make use of many in-game items.

To install the scripts, simply extract the .zip file into your Torment Override folder.

iSeries BETA

Very Beta versions of my scripts for Ice Wind Dale 2. So far the scripts only use a limited number of spells. Otherwise they appear to do most of the other things the eSeries was designed to do....Threat Level Assessment, Weapon Switching, Move to Combat, a few other things. They're NOT going to be able to strut their stuff with a high level party. Packaging is very basic. Unzip to your IWD2 Scripts folder, assign the scripts in-game and see how the work for you. Constructive feedback is encouraged. Oh, use iBard for Bards, iArcher for Mages, and iFighter for Fighter types or Cleric types. Also, there is a slight pause before the scripts get rolling once they see enemies. I don't know why this happens. It happens even with the simplest of Player AI Scripts in IWD2. If anyone has an answer for this, a plausible theory, or benevolent voodoo to fix the problem, I'd love to hear about it.

Fix Packs

Scriptable Spells

Scriptable Spells fixes several SPCLxxx and SPINxxx spells that had their spell level incorrectly defined. The incorrect level definition would cause the game to crash when the spells were cast using the trigger HaveSpell(). The spells modified by this package are able to be scripted without causing the game to crash.

Mods

Improved Horns of Valhalla

Improved Horns of Valhalla is a minor modification to BG2:SOA/TOB that improves the capabilities of the berserkers summoned by the three horns. The berserkers are now berserk as per the Berserker Fighter kit class ability BERSERKER_ENRAGE with its advantages and disadvantages.

Totemic Cernd

Totemic Cernd is a minor modification to BG2 that changes Cernd's druid kit from that of a Shapeshifter to a Totemic Druid. In the process, I also decided to increase Cernd's physical statistics somewhat to make him a reasonably attractive alternative to other clerics or druids, such as Jaheira or Anomen. I would welcome any feedback from those that are willing to give this modification a whirl.

Note: You must start a new game to take advantage of this game modification.

Icewind Dale II Scripting Information

Gathered from various places - Inteplay Discussion Boards, TeamBG Discussion Boards, PREFAB.IDS (came with the game). The list is by no means complete and the boards mentioned above still contain quite a bit of useful information, but the following info is what I gathered in a relatively quick cut and paste raid. I may get around to formating it in a more visually pleasing fashion, but don't count on it. Feel free to use the info contained in however you like. If you are going to use it to create a scripting guide, then please credit the people I have listed as providing the question/info/answer/etc.,.

uScript

uScript or "Universal" Script is a a Player AI Script for BG2: SOA & TOB. It was created by Rich Martel. I'm supplying it here, because I don't know of any other place where it exists and some may find it useful. Please note that I will not be providing any support for this script or any of the other items contained in the package.

IE Action & Trigger Research

I compared the TRIGGER.IDS files of BG1: TOTSC (Thanks Echon), BG2: SOA/TOB, IWD1: HOW/TOTLM, IWD2, and Torment to each other.

I also compared the ACTION.IDS files of BG1: TOTSC (Thanks again Echon), BG2: SOA/TOB, IWD1: HOW/TOTLM, IWD2, and Torment to each other.

The point of this exercise was to determine where the Actions & Triggers overlapped or were omitted in each engine, in the hope that some could be transfered between engines enabling Modders to have more scripting options in their engine/environment of choice.
